Reading Exchange Odds: A Two-Minute Lesson
Exchange odds are decimal, and the maths is one multiplication: stake × odds = total return (including your stake back). Back India at 1.72 with ₹1,000 and a win returns ₹1,720 — ₹720 profit. The lower the odds, the more likely the market thinks the outcome is: 1.30 is a heavy favourite, 2.00 is a coin flip, 5.00 is a longshot.
